About the Days Until June Calculator
This tool counts the exact number of calendar days between a date you choose and a target date in June — June 1st by default, or any day from 1 to 30 that you pick. It is a plain date-difference calculation: no estimation, no rounding rules beyond whole days.
The formula
Both your start date and the June target are built as calendar dates at midnight. The calculator then computes:
- Days remaining = target date − start date, counted in whole 24-hour days.
- If the chosen June date has already occurred this year (it falls before your start date), the target automatically rolls forward to June of next year, so the countdown stays positive — unless you switch the rollover option to keep the current year and see how many days have passed instead.
- Month lengths and leap years are handled automatically by the underlying calendar date math, so no manual adjustment is needed.
Reading the results
The countdown target is the exact June date and weekday the calculator is counting to. Days remaining is that gap in whole days. Weeks + days is the same span written as full weeks plus a remainder, which is often easier to picture than a raw day count. Falls on is the day of the week the target date lands on, useful for planning around a weekend or workday.
How to get the best results
- Set "Count from this date" to today, or to whatever date you're planning from.
- Enter the specific day in June you care about — 1 for June 1st, 30 for the end of June, or any day in between.
- Leave the rollover option on "Roll forward to next year's June" for a standard forward-looking countdown; switch it to "Keep this year" if you specifically want to know how long ago a June date passed.
